My wife and I have been fortunate enough for the past two years and it’s almost as if I have been reborn.  I thank the Lord for helping me through these tough times.  I thank the Lord to have given me the wisdom to seek out knowledge and truth and steer me toward the alternative medicine practices that helped save my life.

Sometimes I still wonder WHY ME?  But then I realize that this hardship has brought me and my wife closer than we have been in years.  And that is indeed something to be grateful for.

My children have done everything in their power to stay close and visit often and that is something that makes me very happy.  Just the other day, Sheri said she missed me!  I asked her what she meant by that and she told me that I had been “missing” for years, always too busy to talk, too busy to do, too busy to “connect”.  WOW, I thought.  I never even realized that she was describing me, the me from years ago.

So this is my prayer to GOD.

Thank you, God, for giving the strength to fight when i thought all was lost.

Thank you, God, for giving me a great family who helped me win the fight.

Thank you, God, for giving me wonderful friends who had a kind heart.

Thank you, God, for giving me insight into the world and where I fit in.

Thank you, God, for being my guide and taking me to places I never knew.

I am no longer alone.  I live in a world now where family and friends mean absolutely everything.  Their help has been indispensable to me and they made me realize also that while life is short, you really can make a meaningful difference if you really want to.  The Lord is my shepherd and I shall not want.
